Celebrating Massive success and looking ahead
It’s hard to believe it’s already been two years since we launched the new and improved Remote Incident Manager (RIM). The journey has been nothing short of amazing, with RIM making waves across the globe. We’ve seen incredible growth in features and impact, and the most rewarding part is knowing how many lives we’ve touched.
Your Stories, Our Motivation
Earlier this year, we asked our community to share memorable moments using RIM, and the stories you sent in were nothing short of inspiring. Here are a few highlights:
- Controlling your home computer while traveling abroad, feeling almost as if you’re right there.
- Quickly resolving a computer issue, like a sound outage, with just a call to a RIM user, saving time and frustration.
- Helping a friend try out macOS without even stepping into an Apple store.
- Installing a sound card with assistance from the Remote Accessibility Module.
- Helping sighted family members with their computers without needing a screen reader.
- Installing RIM with just one click, no login required – a rarity these days!
These stories show the power of RIM in action, and we can’t thank you enough for sharing them with us. We look forward to creating even more memorable moments together in the years to come!
Big Wins and New Partnerships
This year has been a year of historic growth for RIM, with several major organizations adopting our platform:
- The Blind Information Technology Specialists (BITS) organization extended an extra 30 minutes of connection time to all members, empowering many current and aspiring technology professionals.
- A huge international win for us was the adoption of RIM by the Spanish National Organization for the Blind (onθe.) By deploying RIM across their field support team, ONCE is enhancing accessibility and opening new doors for blind professionals in Spain.
- And to finish off the trifecta, we have Aira! Aira’s adoption of RIM has been a game-changer, making remote technical support easier and more accessible for visually impaired individuals dealing with those tricky, inaccessible tasks.
RIM Goes Global, and Looking at the Road Ahead
Thanks to our new localization support, RIM is now more popular than ever worldwide. We want to give a special shout-out to Nael Sayegh and Kojiro Kuyo for their work in refining our French and Japanese localizations – your contributions are invaluable!
But we’re not stopping here! Looking ahead, we’re excited to announce that Braille support is on the way, along with enhanced video capabilities, including multi-monitor support. And that’s just the beginning – we’ve got a few surprises up our sleeves that we’ll unveil as RIM continues to evolve. Stay tuned!
Join Us in Spreading the Word!
RIM’s success wouldn’t be possible without the incredible support of our community. We invite you to share RIM with your friends, family, and co-workers – let’s continue to grow and make an even bigger impact together! Here’s to many more years of innovation, connection, and success with RIM.
